How to Make the Perfect One-Bowl Banana Bread

  1. Gather the ingredients for your banana bread

    3-4 ripe bananas (approx. 1 1/2 cups mashed)
    1 eggs
    1 tsp baking soda
    1/4 tsp salt
    1/2 cup sugar (or other granulated sweetener of choice)
    1/3 cup butter (melted)
    1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp cinnamon (optional)
    1tsp vanilla extract (optional)
    1/2 cup add-ins of choice (chocolate chips, nuts, dried fruits) (Optional)

  2. Pre-heat the oven

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (180 degrees Celsius)

  3. Mash the bananas

    Add the peeled bananas to a bowl and mash until smooth

  4. Add the butter, sugar, egg, baking soda, and salt

    Stir in the melted butter until well combined; then add the sugar, egg, baking soda, salt, and vanilla extract (if using) and mix until smooth.

  5. Add the flour

    Gradually add the flour and mix until you have a smooth batter.

  6. Add the add-ins

    Stir in the chocolate chips, nuts, or dried fruits of choice

  7. Pour the batter into a greased pan

    Grease a loaf pan, and pour the batter in. Top with extra add-ins.

  8. Bake

    Bake until a toothpick comes out clean (baking time will vary depending on the oven; approx. 40min to 1 hour)
    Cool completely before enjoying the perfect one-bowl banana bread!
