Goose pulling.. a blood sport. There are a lot of sports around us which are barbaric. These sports are against the laws of humanity. And that is the reason everyone considers these sports brutal. One of which we shall discuss in this post. It is called goose pulling.
In it, a live goose is tied to the rope or a pole. And the rider on a horse tries to pull its head off. Moreover, to make the task challenging the neck of the goose is oiled. the one who pulls the head off is the winner or noble leader. The winner is given that goose or drinks as a treat.
This sport originated in the 12th century from Spain and spread throughout Europe. From the 17-19th century, it also took place in Belgium, England, Netherlands, and North America.
COUNTRIES WHICH PRACTICE THIS SPORT:
It is still practiced in Grevenbicht, in the Netherlands. It is also conducted in Belgium, the UK, the US, and Germany as well.

- Get a horse.
- Ride the horse.
- Grab the neck of the goose.
- Pull the head off it.
FOOD FOR GOOSE:
The goose must be given grass, dried poultry layers and wheat.
INTERACTION WITH HUMANS:
The geese are fun to watch when they walk in a green field. But they pester the humans when they become unwanted residents in the house. They also overgraze. Still, people love these great and beautiful creatures.
People didn’t like Goose pulling even in the old days. And hated it to the extent that they considered it was barbaric. Although a law about banning it was passed. Still, people continued this sport and started pulling dead goose. Moreover, some animal organizations again tried to ban it. But the proposal was rejected because they said that the goose was already dead. Even though it was banned, people still practice it in some parts of the world.
This sort of blood sport should seriously be banned. No one must participate in it.
