Teenage Problems

As a matter of fact, the whole world is not the same as it used to be 20 years back. Over the past decade, anxiety in teenagers aged 13 to 18 has went up 20%. Some prominent causes of anxiety include academic pressure, social media, and other life-threatening events that takes place in this age. Schools and colleges have set standards for their students which is not less than an ugly discrimination. It is overwhelming for teenagers to ace the entrance exam of top colleges which is often disappointing and depressing. This ultimately cause anxiety at an early age.

The social construct of society established shapes the way people must live their life. Any action that falls to the standards of the society is appreciated and accepted. If one does something out of the societal standard, the person starts to feel left out and is faced with backlash from their parents and close friends. Mental illness is both a cause and consequence of social isolation. People going through mental illnesses distance themselves from their friends and family. Isolating themselves makes them more vulnerable to insecurities and negative tendencies.

What is Bipolar Disorder?

Bipolar disorder is a state of mind in which a person experiences mood swing. In these mood swings they attain two extremes. One in which they feel very energized, happy, and devoted. Another extreme is that on which they feel hopeless, sad, and lost their interest from activities. These two extremes called Mania or Hypomania and Depression. That’s why this mental conditional sometimes also called a Manic Depression.
